At Copes Islander B&B, we respect the privacy of
the users of our web site. To ensure your privacy is respected, we adhere
to the following privacy policies:
E-Mail
Your e-mail address will be recorded only if you send us a message. It
will be used only for replying to you directly. We do not keep a mailing
list for mass mail out purposes. Our email program ( Outlook Express ) automatically
keeps a record of the email addresses to which we have sent replies, but
we do not use this information other than to follow up on any e-mail correspondance
which you may have initiated by contacting us. We will not use your e-mail
address for any other purpose, and will not disclose it to any third party
without your consent.
Logs
When you visit our web site, our Internet Service Provider makes a record
of your visit and logs the following anonymous information for statistical
purposes – the user's server address, the user's top level domain name (ie
.com, .net, .ca, etc), the date and time of visit to the site, the pages
accessed and documents downloaded, search engine used or referring webpage,
and the type of browser used. In addition, we have a tracker which logs the
same information in an easier to read format. This tracker is not password
protected, so if you wish to see the information recorded by the tracker,
you can access it by clicking on the small icon near the bottom left corner
of our home page. (Each of the alternate language index pages on our site
also have a separate tracker). The statistical information gathered may be
used to help us improve our website's performance. We make no attempt to
individually identify users or their browsing activities, nor do we
utilize any third parties to do so on our behalf. The only case of which
we are aware where a third party may access information from our ISP's logs
with a view to identifying users without our permission would be where a
law enforcement agency exercises a warrant to inspect the Internet Service
Provider's logs.

Our website contains links to other sites. Copes Islander Oceanfront B&B
has no influence over and is not responsible for the content or privacy practices
of other websites to which we have linked. We encourage you to examine each
website's privacy policy and to make your own judgements about the accuracy,
reliability and correctness of each website's contents.
