Note: 10/13/2005 The results outlined below are for
the dates indicated. Lately, Google results are increasingly varied from day
to day, as it makes changes in the factors it uses to derive results. This
applies especially to periods when a major reindexing is under way, when
a given site may be at the top one minute, and nowhere to be seen the next,
only to reappear an hour later. One such reorganization is underway
at present, so results must be checked at frequent intervals in order to get
a good measure of where they will stand when the re-indexing is complete.

This is my own site, so it has had the full treatment on an ongoing
basis for roughly a year and I'm still finding new ways to "tweak" it a
little higher. The list of search terms for which it appears in #1 spot on
Google is lengthy. The site is currently receiving more than 200 visitors
a day on average. Test it out yourself using any search terms you think might
be used to look for a B&B or other accommodation in Courtenay, or Vancouver
Island, or British Columbia, or Canada. .

This is an example of the results of my search engine optimization
work, followed by links management and monthly maintenence. The existing
website was bringing in very little traffic. A rough and quick search engine
optimization job had been done but it was quite insufficient to get the
website anywhere near high enough in search results to garner any search
engine traffic. This, unfortunately is usually all you get when you hire
someone who specializes in website design to give you a search-engine-ready
website.

This is an example of an "Out of Nowhere to the Top" project begun
in April 2003. The 'guaranteed' results have been obtained and exceeded,
but I'm still working at pushing it further and expanding the number of
top position search terms in order to obtain more traffic for the site.
This site is now obtaining top five positioning on Google for
a good range of search terms.

Optimization work begun June 18, 2004. This site has been around
for few years but had never had any effective optimization attention. The
first order of business was to remove the "frames" format which was interfering
with search engines reading the content of the site. Early results will
