If you have a web site that is indexed on the major search engines and a tracking program that allows you to see how much traffic is coming to your website and where it is coming from, you'll already know that the number of visitors generated by internet searches is minimal if you are not on the first few pages of search results, and still very modest unless you are at the top of the first page.

To get websites past the many thousands, sometimes millions of other web pages competing for those first few spots at the top, you need a first rate, individually crafted optimization job. High-volume Search Engine Optimization companies with cookie-cutter formulas may promise you big results, but their efforts can be far surpassed with the application of some additional care, time and specialized knowledge.

There are a lot of website optimization companies out there on the web who make big claims about what their services will do for your site. Mostly they don't produce. How could they? There are only a few spots at the top and there are many thousands of people paying very substantial sums of money in the hope that they will put them there.
