To the many vacation attractions of the Comox Valley can now be added
the prospect of spending the day touring the growing number of estate
wineries in the area. While the Comox Valey may be the most recent
region of Vancouver Island
to have adopted vinticulture, it is fast becoming a significant center
of
production. A number of new wineries are now in production, and more
are
in the process of being established. With it's fertile soil and mild
climate,
the Comox Valley is sure to develop a reputation for a flourishing wine
